The Minimalist Contest [round 1 Results]

Welcome to The Minimalist Contest.

All you have to do is pick one number (from 0 to 9). Then, since I tend to make simple things much too complicated, your guess will be put through a series of procedures, which purpose is to calculate the score of each round. Once you've made your guess, all you got to do is check this thread for results.

You are guessing the digits in the serial numbers of the notes I get in change. One note per round.

If your number appears once = 1 pt.
If your number appears twice = 2 pts
If your number appears twice, one after another = 2+1 pts
If your number appears three times, one after another = 3+2 pts
If your number appears in a radar position (for example 2 in 0238423) = 2+1 pts
- and if you have more points that your rival in a given round, you win the round.

Example.
You picked 2. The serial# is 0228221
You get: 4 (four twos) + 2 (twice one after another) + 2 (twice radar position) = 8 points.

After a round, a sports-like standings will be generated.
4 rounds per week, 18 rounds per season, results posted every weekend, winner announced after approximately one month.

- Minimum 10 participants to start
- No post-count required to play, everyone welcome
- Signing up at least until 01/01/09
- Contest will start early January
- To prevent any kind of suggestions I'll try to have the notes ready before the start of the game. At the moment I have 12 photographed.
