Hello, I recently bought a modern coin lot that apparently contained an old Roman coin. I am not at all familiar with ancient coins, but after a long research I am convinced that the person on it is Marcia Otacilia Severa, the wife of Philip the Arab. The coin is 23-24mm in diameter, weighs 4.36g and looks like it has a plugged hole. Does anyone have any idea what face value it has and what metal the coin is made of? (Or is it even genuine?) Thanks in advance!

You are right, it is Philip the Arab's wife Otacilia. It is an antoninianus (= 2 denarii), which means it is made of low grade silver (at the time of Philip the Arab something like 30-40 % silver). Here is some more info: http://numismatics.org/ocre/id/ric.....121?lang=en

It looks genuine to me.
