They were a gimmic so the sellers could sell off their stock to make a buck or two for a quarter. Now, they are just spenders with little/none interest. Look for the real doubled dies on quarters. To know where to look check out the doubleddie.com site. They list the different DDO / DDR's for the States and the ATB Quarters. Keep in mind, to look them up as the doubled dies are not in the areas you expect them to be. They are from the single squeeze dies and in the central areas of the designs.
