Cities, towns, villages and individual people all over Germany issued their own "notes"; a comprehensive catalogue would probably require over a dozen encyclopaedia-sized volumes. However, your note is an exception. This one was issued by the Reichsbahndirektion (State Railway Office), Dresden branch. As a Government-owned institution, these "railway notes" have semi-official status and as such are listed in the "Special Issues" world banknote catalogue. This note is listed as PS# 1179 with a value of $9 in Unc, $1.50 in VG. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff
