Hi everyone. Do laminations occur in zinc cents?
There seems to be faint raised lines that run through the void? I don't see any damage to the rim.

Or, is this just post mint damage?

Grease filled die...and the grease, metal shavings, or whatever filled the cavity - had some striations in it.

Looks like a Cud came off. Chuck would know more then I would tho. I think this is copper LD anyway isn't it?.

No, a Cud would be a jagged raised area as high as the rim.

This is exactly what an obstructed die looks like - nothing different.
