Clay7822 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 04/23/2021 12:53 am I have a $100 note from 1996 With a serial# of AB45836317X From my understanding X in US currency just means the end of the serial, or last note of that line... Issue comes is when I got to look up just the serial without the X (AB45836317*) There are no notes under that serial? Does that mean this is a one-of-a-kind? Any insight would be greatly appreciated! (I don't really know how to upload images or I would xD) Report this Post to the Staff

The series 1996 $100 New York district went all the way up to the AB-Y block, so AB-X was not the end of the line. The 1996 $100 New York district star notes ended at serial number AB19200000*. I'm not sure what you mean by one-of-a-kind since serial numbers are not duplicated, all of them are. Condition is everything, please post a photo when you can. Report this Post to the Staff

It was printed in July 1999 and appears to have a center fold and handling marks. If you like it, keep it, but to me, it's a spender. Report this Post to the Staff
