Here's a shin plaster that I've shown earlier in a post because it has a special serial number,
I've just now noticed that the brown colour or background design of the signature panel intrudes into the top of the written denomination.
I have quite a few of these and this is the only one that has this anomaly.
Would something like this be considered a printing error?

Cheers, Bill

Printing just slightly out of register. Not uncommon on earlier notes.
I think those were printed 8 up so all the shinplasters on that strip would be the same.
Looking at the photo in Charlton they show a 1923 Shinplaster that is identical to yours.

Hi JimmyD, appreciate the reply.
Printed out of registry was my first thought but if it was shifted down there should be a gap at the top of the brown.
This looks more like my childhood colouring books where I was colouring outside the lines.
Certainly not a major error but I thought it was interesting.

Cheers, Bill
