it was a pretty good Christmas I received an Ace 250.so,now I need some tips/advice on detecting.
what is the best way to learn how to use it?scatter some coins in the yard or just go hunting for real?
any advice would be appreciated.

Drop a dime on the ground and "play" with it - get used to the tone that the dime produces in the detector. Then try a larger coin, a nail or two, etc., so you can compare the differences that each metallic object produces. Try burying a finishing brad point down in the ground if you want a challenge - maybe paint its head orange so you can find it visually and not lose it. What you are doing is simply calibrating your personal detecting technique - the speed of your swing, narrowing down a hit, etc. Oh, and have fun! (I gotta wait until the ground thaws in about 3 months ...)

TJ you lucky dog you. I ordered mine the day after Christmas and I am still waiting on UPS to bring it ( no where to get one around here). I can hardly wait to get it!

Tim,i know I'm pretty lucky but I was a pretty good boy this year
now I just need to learn how to use it so,I'm planning on trying pls's tips.
