Hi guys a question about a 1942 penny it's got a metallic hue to the entire thing completely wrong color and doesn't look to be refinished and is not magnetic weighing in at 3.34 grams picture comparison between steel and copper

Looks like a coat of clear paint to me, especially if it has a metallic hue to it.
