Numismo, welcome to the forum.

Coppercoins has a great write up here: http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...PIC_ID=27811 explaining how a doubled die is created and the difference between it and Machine Doubling.

For the sake of your numismatic education...it's "doubled die" - not "double die".

Just use it from its current location. Just paste the address into your message box as an image...

If you use the URL with the IMG tags, you don't have to go through the trouble of downloading and re-uploading to use it.

John1, they probably could but forums come with their own set of smilies which work very well, and mom and dad do enough around here as it is

Thanks to all for the welcomes. I never knew this site existed until I discovered it accidentally. There are so many forum topics that I'm on it a lot now. My wife has to yell at me to get off the site so she can check her mail.
