@YesorNo I live in Ontario and CC%C charged 13% HST $29.89 on my mountie hat coin. So, what province do you live in? Also if you want that coin book as a Prestige Member with RCM, I believe you will get 50% off but not a free one. Please go and check the benefits of MC status.

@New1954 I live in Quebec. Thanks for the heads up about the collection book. Indeed, I can get it with 50% off. The collection book looks fancy.
However, I'm not sure if it's worth $60 (after 50% off), especially for 2020 when there were fewer coins. To those of you who received this book, what do you think of it? Is it worth $60?

I am not a coffee table book lover and that is what this is. I imagine for historical reference it may be useful but it is just not something that I value. Now if they added a special edition proof quarter or other circulating coin in much the same way they did with the Annual Reports 15 years ago then it may have additional appeal... And yes.. I did get the $2 notification last week but I thought it was a late April item vs. an early May item.

The Dancing Diamond coin is awaiting stock again. Of all the coins issued this month, I think it is the most impressive looking one. The gold plating really makes it stand out.
A close second is the gold bighorn sheep coin. It's really nice looking but too expensive for me.
The mountie hat is unique looking but too high a mintage for my liking. Should be at the 3000-4000 range. At 6500, should be plenty around for those that want it.

This is why there are different offerings... for me, I am not a fan of the items that deviate to far from the common definition of a coin... I would not rate the mountie hat or dancing diamond that high. On the other hand, I will agree that the Bighorn Sheep is either #1 or #2 from this month's offering... I would rate the 5oz Avro Arrow as the other contender for #1/#2. However both are too expensive for what you get. That said, given the Arrow is sold out not everyone agrees that it is too expensive.

@vonigohcr Thank you for feedback on the collection book. Following up on our earlier discussion about taxes, I compared prices on CC&C vs RCM. CC&C Total RCM Total I feel good to save $23.

@YesorNO I bought mountie hat from CC&C and was charged 13% tax which is $29.89 or close to the cent and I was charged the exact same amount of tax for the mountie hat coin I purchased at RCM $29.89. So I am not understanding why the calculations are off. Does it go by province? I am in Ontario. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP? Don't mean to yell...just trying to understand. lol

@New1954, it is quite simple, you live in Ontario so are charged HST, the same as if you ordered from the RCM. YesOrNo live in Quebec, he is not subject to HST because Ontario is a different tax jurisdiction from Quebec. He will be only charged 5% GST which is $11.50. For you to save tax, you would need to order from a province outside of Ontario. In your case, order from Gatewest Coins which is in Manitoba, and you will be only charged 5% GST. For me, this situation has occurred for years where in BC we are stuck with an extra 7% PST which we can avoid by buying outside of BC.

@MoneyPenney you are right. Gatewest charges only 5% for taxable coins if you are outside of Manitoba.
Maybe I should buy one more hat coin. That way, I will finally have enough tax savings to buy a collection book.

@MoneyPenney Thank you for the explanation with regards to taxes in different provinces. it was really helpful. What I don't understand is what YesOrNo posted when purchasing the mountie hat coin at the RCM? Why was he charged $34.44 in taxes? I don't understand.

How much is a 'real' Stetson? Must be in the same neighbourhood as this RCMP hat coin....and you can wear it year round!

2 oz. Pure Silver Coin - Manitoba 150: United in Celebration:
Can someone explain why the Mint put two different dollar values on this coin? Or is this a coin picture error on the Mint website page.

@jimper I believe the coin picture on RCM website was wrong. RCM's May brochure has correct images:
