Again another example having die chips on the obverse areas. These are not damage to the coin, but damage on the die. (Say what?) When a die chip happens, a piece breaks off of the die. That leaves a void on the die. The void, now fills in with metal from the planchet. Thus the areas area where the void is on the die. If you see many of these on a coin, the die is showing that many voids on the die. I see one on the hear and one on the brow. When more of these start to show up, the though comes to my mind, that the die was not tempered correctly. The die might be too brittle. Thus the break out of eruptions on the coins. But with two so far on this die, that is not enough to convince the jury:

So this is a die event so far. No way they can fix this die, it is let it continue to work, or retire it. The jury is still out that, also.

Wow..very cool. I read a post reply from you earlier about die wear. I believe it was. Is that why the 2020 is thinner than usual on this coin? Die gets worn down?

Hi, EMAroots23. Your pictures are great. What device do you use to get these pictures?

Oh my..are you being serious? Lol. If so I take them on my Samsung s20 ultra. It has a really nice zoom. I also found that laying my phone on top of a coffee cup to take pictures has helped bc I have shaky hands. I also just figured out how to use the photo optimizer on here. So that definitely helped.
