Likely Undocumented 1944-D Doubled Die Obverse / DDO Lincoln Wheat Cent / LWC

CentSation Pillar of the Community United States 713 Posts	Posted 05/04/2021 11:52 pm Seems unlikely, but it appears to be moderate class vi spread on this unlisted 1944-D. The closest [for MM placement] is DDO4/1DO6, but WE and LIBERTY don't seem to be as pronounced on those. I included a quick measurement using the intersection of two lines from similar points [bottom corner of 1 and tip of 9 & on the downslope of 4] off of the date to compare MM placement. Wexler has about 25 1944-D DDOs that are missing images on his site, it could easily be any one of those.
