Japan 1876 2 Sen Struck Thru A Whole Lot Of Something

I am big into Korean and Japanese error coins, so when I saw this, I had to pick it up. 6:00 to 12:00 on the legend is almost all gone. 70% of the dots in the circle are gone and many of the separating dots and small parts of the characters are gone as well. On top of this, several characters at the top of the reverse are gone too. It is a lovely error. :)

Yep, that is a Greaser for sure. I would have picked it up for sure if I saw it too.

@mrwhatisit I wish we could give them nicknames on the NGC holder. I'd call this one Greased Lightnin' :)
