Hi everyone - I have this lovely item I want to sell and wanted to find out more about it. It is a vesta case and the front and back are coins as shown. Can anyone decipher the hallmarks and give me any info about it including the best price I could expect for it?
Many thanks

This is a match case reproduction.

I am not an expert but appears indicative of those made in SE Asia during the 1970's for export to Europe.

Hi thanks - does that mean that it is not silver as I thought those were French hallmarks?
Many thanks

That makes sense. I remember seeing these in tobacconists' shops in France in the mid-1970s and wondering why anyone would vandalize valuable coins to produce them!
