Hi Everyone!

I am a new member, and I wanted to ask for your help about a 1677 Charles II Crown recently purchased from GB Classic Coins. I think this was a pretty good deal considering the condition, but I am not 100% confident that this is a genuine coin. There is still time to cancel the order. GB Classic Coins looks pretty reputable considering its good reviews on ebay and experience as stated, but I just wanted to clear up some doubts.
Here is the link to the coin: https://www.gbclassiccoins.co.uk/sh...ono-crown-2/

I originally wanted to buy a Charles II Crown directly from Royal Mint Collector Services, but it was more expensive and not in as good condition.

Can you please quickly take a look at the website and give me your advice on if this coin is genuine or not, and also if GB Classic Coins appears to be reputable?

Thanks so much!!!

Ps - Have any of you guys every purchased from GB Classic Coins? If so, how was your experience with them overall?

Not an expert on these but it looks genuine.
Does it have the edge lettering?

From a look at the site, GB Classic Coins looks good to me. It seems their website is like their real storefront but they are also present and positively reviewed on ebay. Never used them myself, but with their inventory, I may buy from them sometime in the future

For the crown you bought, I don't see anything that suggests anything wrong with it, certainly looks genuine to me

@JimmyD, thanks for your reply! I think there is edge lettering, but I have not received it yet so I can't be sure of it.

Definitely real, but real overpriced and real overgraded.

It is not aVF, its basically gVG - no hair detail on Charles at all and very worn on rim.

You did overpay - such a coin should only cost around £100 - £125 in that condition.

Sorry to be bearer of bad news.

Oh, this does sound bad. I originally thought it was a good deal! I will provide pictures once it arrives. Thank you for letting me know though.
