Not a coin although it may have legal status as such.

I've got one. I like it a lot. Definitely one of the weirder things in my collection. But I also like the Murano glass Xmas issues, so there you go. IMO enjoying these kind of "non coin" issues is not really any more eccentric than obsessing over the hoof through 6 varietal of the 1946 50 cent or resubmitting your 1947 ML dollar to ICCS because you are convinced that the MS 63 designation should be an MS 64. At the end of the day, it's all just a hobby. Chacun a son gout, n'est pas?

Things like this are quaint and I can see why some are interested in acquiring them. However, as others have mentioned, I believe calling them "coins" is a huge stretch and giving them legal tender status is downright ridiculous.

I'll admit right up front I'm old and a bit stuck in my ways . Heck, I even had a bit of an issue with the concave baseball, basketball and Apollo 11 U.S. modern commemorative issues, but those seem pretty darn conventional compared to a lot of the RCM issues.
