They might be calling it a coin, but its not a coin in my eyes its a gimmick for the RCM to sell their junk as a new idea of a coin. (A Joke to me) as well 20-0 pole.

Quote: tell me it is a joke? Sorry to say that it is legit. It is one of a series of the new releases from the RCM.

The RCM will put a denomination on virtually anything these days and call it a coin. I consider this kind of stuff a joke but they do sell.

Some of the things they release DO look nice (like the 3-D statues of the RCMP last year and animals before that) and I wouldn't mind having them myself; but NO, they aren't coins to me either.

That's pretty wild! Certainly not my cup of tea, but modern stuff generally isn't, so more power to the folks that like it. I guess it's moving beyond 2-dimensional art and we're entering the era of coin sculpture (if you ignore the relief on coins). I don't see anything wrong with it, I just won't buy in

John1 My post was not meant to be negative about MA-Shops. I know Joachim Schwiening, the owner, for about 10 years or so, just at the beginning of his venture. We were then talking about expanding MA shops to North America. He has successfully done this now during the last few years. There is an auction site to MA-shops. But it needs to take on another direction. MA shop management has very little influence on what one of their clients sells as long as they stick to MA shops rules. They only rent the SW-platform for a fee + a commission.(all negotiable). My point was the issue of the RCM making these. Note: did not call it striking a coin.

That is the most, uh, interesting offering I have seen in a while. Not something I would ever buy, but to each their own.
