Good evening everyone, I am hoping to gain some knowledge about coins from you good selves as experts in the art of knowing what is decent and what is basically lead weights in the Coin World.
My Grandad God bless him bought myself and my Brother a set of coins/collection back the 60's/70's and are these maybe worth pennies or maybe more valuable than I have researched.?
I have coins ranging from full and half 1891 sovereigns, 30 silver sixpences, over 30 Queen Victoria pennies, Concordes first flight coin, to a Queen Victoria coin set.
Looking at what ive got, would it be better advised to keep as an investment for my kids or sell them and invest in Krugerrands?
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks

I don't know exactly what you have regarding condition and rarity but generally numismatic items should not be looked at in the sense of investment but rather collected for its beauty, historic value, and personal satisfaction. If investment is what you seek I would be more inclined to sell them privately such as on ebay rather than accept a low offer from a dealer. You will get your best prices by selling privately, and then "Invest" in bullion or some other medium you are comfortable with.
