The prices for these seem to shoot up in red vs red brown condition. Any chance this coin could nab a red, or is the spotting going to hold it back?

@BadThad from what I have seen, TPGs seem to very rarely give out lower than high-50s grades to zincolns since to actually show significant wear they would have to be missing plating, which would then place them in a details grade, but I could be wrong. You certainly know more about copper coin grading than I do, just my observation from seeing a lot of not great looking but undamaged zincolns in MS slabs.

That's because NOBODY (in general) wants to pay $50+ to slab a potential AU Zincoln....which is generally worthless unless it's a variety. Thusly, the populations are virtually non-existent.
