I don't want to go into details specifically, but I am selling a large military collection for a widow and while going through things a few months ago found three large coin binders. When I saw them, I mentioned that I would like to buy them at some point for my son (who is 2) for when he gets older. Well, although she never met him I received a box for Christmas for him and one of the binders was inside.
It is a truely generous gift. I was speechless. For those who are interested and would like to read, this is what was in the binder:

Nice gift indeed. That beats my birthday gift for sure. BTW, what happened to the other two books?

The other books are still there. She also has a ton of stamps. It's too bad I don't collect them anymore. I will just try to buy them at some point. I forgot to add that there was also an 1812 British Copper Company "one penny" coin and an 1816 Edward Stephens "Wellington & Erin Go Bragh" copper coin. Both in nice condition and until I saw them, didn't know they existed.

I think what is more amazing is that you typed all of that!
Awesome to hear about though!

A truly amazing gift! That deserves more than just a thank you card, but since you are helping a widow out with the military collection, I will say this is life balancing out! Well done.

wow! That's a great start for your 2-year-old - he has more now than I have after years of collecting. And how awesome was it that she sent the binder as a Christmas present

Wonderful gift! What is the condition of the US coins? Do they look like they have been cleaned at one time?
