This is a Turkish commemorative coin. 4th of the Endangered Wildlife serie-which started in 1995 and the 8th coin was minted in 2002. There are three snowdrop flowers (lat. : Galanthus elwesii) on the reverse. This coin is my first silver (with high purity) 1996 Mint 31.47 gr (app. 1 oz) .925 Silver Report this Post to the Staff

But there are ten kinds of this flower in Turkey and the environment that the flowers grow is being destroyed. I guess that's why they are on the "endangered wildlife" serie.
