Started to fill my SBA,Sacagawea & Native American dollars album and have ran into a problem when inserting the proofs into the capsules.....So it seems that the "edge lettering"/collar dies (in which I believe consist of 3 separate dies to complete the circumference) where they meet, a vertical line (for lack of a better term) can be seen/protrudes off the edge and are the cause for a tight/forced fit. So tight that the coin can not be easily removed....

Has anyone else who has been using this album ran into this same problem?
I'm putting in PF-69DCAM coins, so I don't see any up-grades in the future. But I do want to change 1 coin where the obverse would/should be showing on the front of the page.
Would freezing the coin cause it to shrink enough?..
Would freezing cause any damage to the coin?
Should I try to sand the interior of the capsules lid?
Should I just pick-up another 2013-S?
Maybe just jam them in and forget it?
Should I file those protrusions?..
Seems like this might be the case with all Sac proofs?
Anyone else currently using this album?
What would you do?

Any and all comments or suggestions will be viewed as helpful

Thank you for your time and comments....

I think freezing would make it so you could get them in/out, but you have to be careful of introducing moisture while freezing. However, a controlled freezing in a dry environment shouldn't cause any issue to my knowledge, just seems like a lot of trouble

Obviously sanding the coin is not the right move, but I think sanding the case could be a simple enough approach.

If it were me, I would probably go with the "jam them in and fuggedaboutit" option. Since they're proofs I don't see you taking them out pretty much ever to touch and poke them

Forget showing the obverse for the one coin. This is why we use albums, so we can see both sides.

Jam them in and forget.

If you ever did need to upgrade a coin, just get an extra capsule along with it. Keep the downgrade in its capsule and sell or dispose of as-is.

Here's a different approach:

1. Purchase Air-Tite holders with the inner ring for the Proof $1 coins, the pliable ring will provide the flexibility you need to handle the edge bars you've described.

2. Store the proofs on a separate page in your album - one that is sized to hold the larger capsules with rings.
