HI, I just bought these Notgelds from the coin store today. Can anyone give me the values of them. I got them for 50 cents each so I think I got a good deal. Thanks for any help.

Wow.

Okay, some of these are not Notgeld, they are actual Reichsbanknoten from the German government.

Picture 1: Reichsbanknoten are all three in the top row; last one in second row; last one in fourth row. The rest are Notgeld.

Picture 2 and 3: All appear to be Reichsbanknoten.

Picture 4: All appear to be Notgeld.

Picture 5: Second one down from top on right side is a Reichbanknote.

Note also that any in Heller denominations are Austrian, not German.

Nice buy at 50 cents each. There were thousands of different designs on these notes from Germany, Austria, France, and several other European countries after WWI. I enjoyed collecting them and have built a sizeable collection. Sadly there isn't a lot of information in english about them, Krause puts out a catalog and checklist titled: "Notgeld 1914 -1947 A Guide & Checklist". There is also an internet fourm at http://notgeld.com it cost 12 pounds for a lifetime membership. Membership is small so there isn't a lot of activity but there are a number of knowledgable members that are able to answer most questions.
