It definitely is some sort of "one cent" but what really makes me wonder is these little dots all over the coin. Has anyone see anything like this? Someone's initials? Regardless it makes you wonder and could tell a really cool story. Report this Post to the Staff

Detecting finds is a great way to recognize and learn about colonial coins and tokens used long ago. There is a metal detecting page on this site that could some more participation, take a look and consider posting your next finds there. The bust outline showing a bow, not a phrygian cap, is a dead give away. Nice find!
