This one isn't in the greatest of shape but I was able to save it from the ground before it was totally toasted and unrecognizable. I believe it's a King George I struct between 1714-1727 .

Found in the a field I dubbed "French and Indian war field" in western Massachusetts. I was told there was a short battle/burning of houses here back in the 1700s. Pretty crazy.

Halfpenny, or farthing, not a penny. They didn't strike copper pennies back then. The first British copper pennies were struck after American independence.
