As mentioned it is the RDV-005. Normal reverse for that year.

I was wondering what all your other close-up pictures are for? Isn't the Main way to tell a RDV-005 to 006 is just from the location and the serifs on the "G"?

I took them to verify all the other die scratches and marks shown on Variety Vista, I was told to confirm a variety to check there and wexler's so I seen all the die marks and scratches I was not sure of the initial it was hard to see so I guess that's the only reason I posted all other fotos Rothery. But please correct me if I'm wrong, do even if you see all the scratches and marks shown on Variety Vista it does not mean it's a sure hit, correct?

Nope, just a normal RDV-005. The having just found my first recently, I can tell you that the difference is more striking in person than you might expect looking at pictures of the variety. You'll know it when you see it, in the immor(t)al words of Justice Potter Stewart.

Yeah, some hard to verify coin variety's need verification markers as long as they aren't worn off from circulation - But a 1988 P/D RDV 005/006 isn't - just check out the FG initials!
I'm surprised nobody sent you a graphic to show the difference......

@JJC314 I think you might be a little confused... All 1988 Lincoln cents are either RDV-005 or RDV-006 with the vast, vast majority being RDV-005. "finding" one of these just means you found a 1988 Lincoln Cent. Edit: And here's a link to the infographic and variety description Rothery alluded to. http://www.error-ref.com/transition...rse-of-1989/

No need for more pictures, JJC. The coin is just a normal 1988-D LMC.

Ok now I'm confused SamCoin, this is a doubled die correct? I check the list of doubled dies on wexler's and Variety Vista. So I guess, my question is, is this a doubled die ?
