Hey here is another finding I had not too long ago. Looks like 1802 Draped Bust Large Cent. It came out of the ground with some pretty good details. Am I right by saying this is a "stemless" version? Any idea of the value on these? not that I'm looking to see I just like to know what I'm holding. Looks pretty worn down unfortunately but definitely one of the better-looking ones for being in the ground so long.

Here's a link to the post with some details and photos.

Cool. Have you checked out our metal detecting section? Should this have been posted there?

@john1 - someone told me I should post some coins that I've found here as they like to see them. By posting here I've already learned more about the coins I thought were "cut and dry", this is a very intelligent group.

I love hearing what people add to the backstory on these coins. Learning something new with every post.

your finds have been pretty remarkable. I probably wouldn't see them over on the detecting forum.

I believe you are correct. Nice find. Value may be hard to say being in need of conservation.

Another nice find!
It is a Sheldon 241, stemless and 'S' cut too low, then corrected. It has a rarity rating of 1.
