1817 Large Cent - Vise Job Done 200 Years Ago?

Zurie Pillar of the Community United States 5668 Posts	Posted 05/26/2021 11:59 am I just saw this on an auction site, similar to a large cent that was posted here a couple days ago. Can't possibly be a mint-produced error because the incuse image matches an 1818 large cent. My guess is it was created when both coins were relatively new. Report this Post to the Staff

There does seem to be something like a clash on the reverse near the A, but I suspect that might just be an artifact of the vise or pliers. Report this Post to the Staff
