It's 3.5grams and basically the only coins I've found like this with this exact design with Nike standing left are gold staters. I am sure this is silver, so could it be a later Macedonian copy of some kind? Can't find this coin on wildwinds. Would appreciate identification. Many thanks in advance. Kamnaskires Pillar of the Community United States 7066 Posts	Posted 05/26/2021 5:37 pm Maybe a Marathos/Marathus imitative type drachm, perhaps unpublished (?), modeled on the AV staters of Macedon? If you don't pin it down, I recommend contacting George Halabi via Academia.edu. See his article on the series there. Yours seems to have a trident in the reverse left field. I've seen staters with that symbol, but haven't spotted any drachms from Marathos/Marathus with it. Report this Post to the Staff
