I'll say EF-40, and guessing it's been cleaned.

Bear in mind NZstamps, the Americans grade American style which is much more liberal than us.

nEF (British grading). Lines on the orb avove the crown almost gone, due to wear. Has to be wear, because Maundy coins were always well struck with only lightly used dies, due to low mintage numbers.
Light abrasive cleaning shows up more easily in the first two pics, more easily seen on the reverse.

Plain edge Maundy, not a milled edge Britannia Joey.
