Got this little curiosity from my coin dealer today. I bought it because I've never seen a commemorative coin issued for a war that was lost. As it turns out, only 3000 were made (along with 1000 in gold). Interestingly, they were made at the Minkovña Kremnica mint in Slovakia.
@Volvicch: Interesting coin! Congrats on the pickup.

The coin appears to be commemorating the anniversary date of Argentina's invasion and initial occupation of the Falkland Islands (April 2, 1982) vs. the outcome of the war.
To this day, Argentina continues to claim the Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas) as a part of Argentina. It might have surrendered to the UK back in 1982 to end the military conflict, but it hasn't officially surrendered the islands.
