Possibly VF30, leaning towards VF Details ED. Reverse looks like it has some patches of pitting.

That is a scarce coin in mid grades. Vf35 or better. Under rated and tough to find. This series is very under appreciated in my opinion. Strong reverses are really difficult to find pre 1900. Nice coin.

joabler. That hit on the cheek held it back. I have a complete set but if you want to sell your example let me know since I am always looking to upgrade.
Rest in Peace

The in-hand pics are interesting. On the obverse, the lower leaves and hairline at the forehead are VF-35, but LIBERTY is pretty weak. The reverse detail at the head, neck, talons, feathers, and shield is VF-35. I'd look past the lower band at LIBERTY and see an overall bourse floor VF-35 here. IMHO, it's a tossup between VF-30 and VF-35 with a TPG. I agree with @Coinfrog, neither side makes EF.

Pretty decent purchase. These depression era dates are tough critters VF and up. The reverse strike is definitely solid on this one.
