I have to admit I'm more interested in what the Fr-2 coin goes for considering its the "rare" one. I must also say that I am truly sorry to see Dan selling his collection. I was really hoping he would be able to hold it together long enough to get that last piece. For those who don't know, the other two Strawberry leaf cents are part of the Dan Holmes Collection, the most complete early date large cent collection ever assembled. And probably the most complete set that ever will be assembled. He had 354 of the 355 varieties. The only piece he was missing was one of the Unique NC varieties which is permanently impounded in the ANS collection. Report this Post to the Staff
