Au 55 to Au 58 sounds about right. Slight rub on the eagles breast, hair above ear, cheek and cotton tops. The hit on the reverse may keep it at 55.

I agree, nice original slider, straight grade. The ding near the eagle's right wing (our visual left) is OK on a 58, but might net it down a notch on an UNC.

for a 96(P) the strike should be a little stronger than this one. the hair around the ear and breast is weak. the luster does not appear to be intact using these photos. the coin most likely had a dip but is market acceptable. there are a couple surface preservation issues on the reverse with the dig left of the eagle and something is going on at the lower end of the breast. a couple small hits above the eye. I'm having a hard time putting this in an AU bucket if it is I would put it at AU58. I'm going with MS63
