Hello! New Here! I have recently been going through my fathers items and found a few interesting coins, I have attached a face and tail photo. I was hoping for any feedback about the coin. First: is it real? Second: It resembles ancient Greek coins, is this correct? Does anyone know anything about it?

Thank you!
Amy

At first I thought that as well Bob, but then I thought the hole, if the man kept it on a key chain and had his hands on it for a long time, it might have worn down and toned strangely to give the soft features and colors. The edge would help a lot of course.

Yeah but it was not made to deceive anyone. It was made for Jewelry so they did not have to make it perfect. Might just put it on your key chain especially if your father carried it.

It's the sort of thing that is sometimes sold to tourists and military personnel overseas. Was your father ever in North Africa or Sicily?

I don't believe he ever went there, but he did make a few trips to China and I don't know where he may have had layovers. Good to know! I will make a lovely keychain out of it! Thank you all!
