I'm not sure what this is would it be a Die Cud the weird looking thing around face or just the plating puffed up. I'm just trying to learn. And what about that dark round ring what would cause that. Would it be an error or just damaged.

Damaged. I agree with greasy, looks like staining. The ring may have caused by a Coin Wrapping Machine, but regardless is damage.

This is what's known as a "crud" not a Cud. Perhaps we can start a new attribution site CrudOnCoins.com

Looks like a stain. A Cud always includes the rim.Check out the Glossary section...left side of page.

It does look like a stain, but it could be a plating bubble. I've seen a few with very large areas that have raised fields. Take a wooden toothpick and see if that area will flex or depress. It's not really going to make a difference in value, but I'm curious. If it does not move under the pressure of the toothpick, it's almost certain that it's just a stain as the other members have noted.

Please let me know what you find.
