Hello everyone ;
I have some new info on the Lincoln 1962d .
I just happened to find a coin with the same error on ebay
he thinks it is a grease coin error.
check it out.
The first one is mine and the second one the ebay coin

I can see the grease effects on the hair, but it probably wouldn't be worth a premium even without the corrosion.

Realdeal101 -See the discoloring all along the edges of the head into the motto? That is caused by a chemical corroding the surface of the coin. Maybe acid eat down into the coin. Yours still has the front curl of hair, so I'm thinking its not the same as the ebay one.

Thanks for the input
I thought the same there was a chemical reaction. I'm thinking what are the odds having the same spot with almost the same look.I believe the difference is when they were making my coin the die was really hot from punching coins so hot it caught on fire with the grease on it creating that finish.
Where the other coin wasn't hot enough to catch on fire.
I think you can see the oil burns at the top of the coin the gray area.
That's what I think.

Their looks like a "A" smashed into this coin.
