My friend found this coin her husband had stashed away. He died and so we have no information. I am sorry if pics not great. Alot of detail worn away...

I did not have my scale. I can weigh it tomorrow when I go to help her. She is an elderly disabled person so it would be good to know whether it was even a coin / valuable

Yes, I suspect it was a coin - depending on the size, maybe a sestertius of Faustina II or one of the other ladies of the Roman Empire, with a seated deity - maybe Salus? - reverse. The Roman experts will, hopefully, chime in with thoughts.

"Was" a coin. I suspect it was worn almost completely down through the years and, at some point in the relatively recent past, the remaining imagery was enhanced through some brutal tooling.

Wondering now, given the hair style - as well as the AVG at 11:00, and the profile - if Lucilla is more likely (rather than Faustina II). Again, hopefully we'll get some speculation from the Roman collectors.
