I recently bought a small batch of 300+ coins, these are mostly US low denomination coins, with good mix of cent, nickel and dime proofs, a few proof quarters, mostly modern stuff, plus a few Canada, GB older large cents, and a few odds and ends. Also, quite a bit of dateless buffalo, and some better condition one with MM, and a dozen Liberty nickels with hand full of Indian cents. This lot came out to be around 30 cents per coin. There were few error coins, which I would like to share them soon with their separate post, for now I have a 2001 Denver cent with double clip, not sure how often these comes by, it has the blakesley effect that are known to be there with this type of error. Looks like the real deal to me, though I'm not an error expert.

Try to upload a photo of the clip edge. I have heard of (but not seen them) being ground down to look like that.

Beauty! Too bad it's not a Wide AM to boot ;) (edit: why did I think it was a 2000-P? I have no idea. Need more sleep.) Edges shouldn't be necessary Oldfordman blakesley effect is very visible and hard to fake.

No need of the edge photos. I see those coins one or two a year. Those are rare to find. This coin seem to legit double clip with really markers of clip.
@Macmercury: this coin has also something in front of Libeberty. Someone here must be ok to diagnose.
Me I ask you to give me the blues lines dimensions, so I will give you exactly the % of clips. I patented in US and Canada a gauche for clips and off-sets but the production is not finish and not yet have a distributor or broker for US. Only the TPC's has samples and approved deliver. so give me the numbers because it is very important for certification.
For everybody for knowledge: The offset and clip coin the percentage is calculated Cartesian and not Euclidian.

@silviosi,
The large clip above Lincoln head is 9mm, and the right side is approximately a fraction over 6mm. Thanks for your help.

Sorry, my wife cook and I have to go left and right.
For 9 mm it is 5.02% and for 6 mm it is 3.64%.
Nice coin. Me I do not have in my collection but if one day I will have , never sell.
