Found this the other day when I was going through my pennies. The "R" in the word "TRUST" looks like a an upside down U and the T looks like it has a 2 vertical lines on each side of it, like an over inked typewriter. I took pictures hopefully they are clear enough. Any advice will be extremely helpful, thank you!

Can you get a more in-focus shot? It does look interesting, but I can't tell if the area is raised or incuse or if it might be glue or some other residue on the surface.

I'm quite intrigued, looks very interesting. As SamCoin requested, some more in focus shots would be very helpful.

It's raised metal around the T and the R looks like it is dripping down... Hope the newer pictures are better. There's no glue on it, I've just never seen anything like it.

1. What does the reverse look like.
2. It is discolored, like heat was applied?
3. What is the weight of the coin?
4. Is the color on those motto devices really white colored?

Coop-
1.) No it doesn't look like heat was applied.

2.) It weighs 3.0 grams

3.) The pictures were taken by a Samsung and sent to me because my camera sucks. I had to sharpen the the focus on the 2nd pictures above.

4.) Here are the reverse and observed side from a Samsung phone unaltered.

The R looks like damage. Just to the right of the R it looks like the metal has been displaced from the divot/scrape going straight down forming a ridge and illusion of a long R. Same for the center of the R.
As far as the T goes I have no clue

My guess is some sort of glue or other coating. I don't think glue can be dismissed simply by looking at it. It wouldn't have to be a thick coating. If this isn't it, I'm stumped as well. Only a acetone bath could tell us, but on the other hand, some sort of varnish wouldn't dissolve in acetone, would it? The mystery may never be resolved. The bottom of the raised area around the letters looks like the substance trails off. My thinking still is towards a liquid additive.
