I was going thru my collection of Franklin's as I am sending a bunch out to PCGS for grading when I came across this oddity. I have never seen one where on the eagles wings there is no detail. I also noticed some scaring on the rest of the coin. So If I send this in, what should I designate it as (for the PCGS label)Is this a mint error or if an Attribute, which one is it? thanks! *** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. . Just a heads up. It is only worth your wild to send in coins that would retail after grading fees of at least $150 each to justify all costs involved in sending them in. John1

Yea John I realize that, this is why I posted the coin. If it is an error then it could be worth north of $150 but like I said I don't know enough about it to be sure whether it is worth the cost to send it in.

The other ones complete my collection of Franklin's. They are an investment which will go to my grandson at my death and hopefully, he will hold onto them until he is 50 or older. Most are PCGS MS64 or better with The PR's at 66. I also have 2 different years of Bugs Bunny and both type 1 & Type 2

I don't see anything here that would add any extra value to it. If anything, a lower value.

Both sides of the coin look mushy? Lack of any detail? John1

Does that make it valuable like a DDO or is this a common error.

I don't think it would add value. Sorry.
