Hello!
I bought another Probus! I used "ugly" In topic only as a click bait. For me it's not ugly but amazing and breathtaking coin!
You can ask me why.. Answer is really simple - that bust is extremely rare :D Moreover, coin is possible to clean (I think).
Who know what is it? ;)

By the looks of it, this coin has already been professionally cleaned, after recovery from ground burial.

To make any further attempt to clean it will run the serious risk of damage to the patina, with a loss in it's currently attractive appearance, and a reduction in value.

Do not clean it!

Yes certainly does look like a rarer type...
Maybe RIC#862 A var?....I know @maridvnvm is a big collector of Probus hopefully he'll be along and will have some answers for sure!

I won't clean it, too risky! I thought about proffesional antiques conservator.
