There are 29 different designs of Olympic 50p dated 2011, each one depicting a different sport. They are all quite scarce, with mintages mostly between 1 and 3 million: by comparison, the 1997 50p has a mintage figure of over 450 million! The Olympic 50p's are quite tough to find in circulation today as most have already been pulled out by collectors. Depending on the design, they can fetch between about £2 and £10 on ebay in normal circulated condition. Some designs, such as the Football 'Offside' coin, seem to be more popular than others.
