Not sure about this one.

I've seen examples of how the top of the middle column can become doubled, yet there is no such listing for this year on Wexler's that matches such an effect.

Is this doubling, or something else?

I don't think its a DDR. We'll see what the experts say.

Interesting. I would lean towards yes or else a well placed die gouge. Cool find. Would be interested to hear what others think as I'm not too well versed in these ceiling DDRs. I do know very similar varieties exist though.

Thank you for the input Oldfordman.

Sam, that's what I was thinking. It looks a bit strange to be a die gouge, the ends seem to be more sharp than what I've seen with die gouges, still could certainly be one though. I am also pretty unknowledgeable when it comes to the ceiling DDRs. I've only ran across one or two of them.

Guess we shall see what the others say.

EDIT: Wanted to call more attention to this topic, as I am honestly very stumped. Might need Dr. Coop's assessment on this one.

I know they have had theories again these in the past, but considering the way the class '9' doubled die happen, I feel they are DDR's. During the die creation process, the hub started and corrected itself during the die creation. To me that say doubled die. Eventually they will be placed in better light. Anything that creates the activity on the center bay during the die creation should be considered a doubled dies. The hub and twist into the correct position affecting this area of the die. Call it what it is. Otherwise tell what could create this?

Perfect, thank you Coop! That is what I assumed as well.

DDR it is! Might send this off to Wexler's eventually.
