Looks like a piece of a wire brush got left in the coin when it was being made. So is that considered damaged or an error.im curious.

It could be rotting on the inside. That oval stuff, some sort of gunk.

It's a round piece of some kind of differnt metal than what the coinmetals are. Looks like a piece of a wirebrush

Does not look like wire to me,it looks see-through. Acetone soak time.

Dip it in pure acetone (not nail polisher remover) for about 24 hrs. and see if it desolves whatever is on your coin. Acetone will not harm it.
