Can anyone help explain what is going on with this coin? There appears to be DD on the word UNITED but I'm not sure what is going on with the letters in ONE CENT.

. United looks pretty normal to me and one cent looks like die polishing or a minor Struck Through Grease.

Not a Struck Through Grease issue, but a heavy die polishing has removed the wider part of the devices. (It it were grease, the devices would have been shorter and wider. They are not)

On the left side of the letters of UNITED it appears to be separation lines or is that just normal wear?
