I've seen a couple of these, so I decided to pick one out.

To my eyes it simply looks like minor Machine Doubling.

What do you guys say? Is Wexler right on this one? Is my coin even the WDDO-036?

It's honestly so minor that I can't tell.

I've definitely been skeptical of -036. Way too small to debunk MD. It's additionally terrible there were no die markers for such a small "variety".

It wouldn't be the only MD that Wexler has listed as of late...

Agreed, there's virtually no information about it. It doesn't really carry the characteristics of a doubled ear either. Usually they're more rounded, and don't go along with the line of the ear. I'll keep it for the time being, but I'm not going to label it as a DDO either.

Interesting, would you mind telling me of what other MD has been listed by Wexler?

I would also be interested to hear, Tanman! Love discussing stuff like this.

Wexler this past week listed two DDRs for the 2020 Weir Farm quarters with doubling on the word ART, which is incuse. It's just incuse Machine Doubling. I sent him an email and have not gotten a response.

He also just listed a number of 1999 Connecticut quarter DDRs that I'm pretty sure are just die clashes.

Also there's so many duplicate listings in the Harpers Ferry DDRs now it's disconcerting. I should make a list at some point. For example, -108/-144/-147 are all the same.

All these areas are reduced, not enlarged, a doubled die will be larger the the normal earlobe. (The contour is removed on Machine Doubling)

Thank you for informing me Tanman, I see. There are so many State Quarter DDRs that I'm not surprised. Let me know if he does respond, as I'm quite curious for his line of reasoning. A list would be good. Again, thanks for telling me, very informative.

That's what I thought Coop. Thanks for confirming my suspicions.
