You all are always very helpful to a newbie that knows littel to nothing. I can find very scant info on black beauty nickels and they always refer to '58 and '59. What is these two then? Strange nickels indeed.

The 2nd photo the 1950 was catching the light and looking silver so held it a bit off angled so show its color better on pic #3.

The third coin look in your photo an clip coin. The light of the photos do not help much.

Suggestion: Take full coin photo with no glare possible and from same angle. Thanks.

I believe these two are simply showing environmental toning/damage. (No clip, just maybe a finger in the way )

Well I can tell you this ; The both of those Nickels are not Black Beauty's . Environmental damage and tone , possibly ground finds .

Environmental tarnishing/staining/discolouration. Heat or chemical post mint damage ( PMD).

Just a coating on the coin. Note some of the highest areas are already showing the normal color. Not a plus for the coin. Just an altered surface issue.
