I figured this would be certified if it was genuine, but that aside, I feel like the scraped area under CENT would be where COPY would be on such a coin.

Not interested in buying it, just wondering if it's actually real.

For coins like that, I consider them fakes if they are not slabbed.
Too much money involved to take a chance on a raw coin.

Agree. Looks plausible, but no way I'd give it a second look raw.

Can't dismiss the possibility that it may be a Chinese die struck fake error.
They have a reputation for producing fake errors.

Needs much better expertise than mine to prove authentic.
Independently provable provenance would help, not just someone's say-so.

Your 'gut' feeling in not being interested in buying it, may? well have kept you safe.

IT is against ebay POLICY to list a coin for more than 2,000$, if it is not certified, by one of the top TPG's..
